Kathleen Boyle Magnuson has been painting professionally since 1977. Her work has been widely exhibited in galleries and shows throughout the West. Many pieces are housed in private and public collections both in the United States and internationally. In addition, she has painted dozens of indoor and outdoor murals.

Born in Palo Alto, California, Kathleen studied art at Northern Arizona University, the Academy of Art in San Francisco and holds a B.A. degree from the University of Arizona.

She has taken portrait commissions for 25 years. . She has owned the business, Visions from Mistwood, located north of Mt Shasta, for decades. Describing her approach to art, Kathleen emphasizes her love of light, the natural world, and ethereal color. Her main goal is for Spirit to manifest through her work. She has lived in the Northern California, Ashland, Oregon region for the past 24 years. Kathleen has also done art therapy with youth offenders since 1990 and mental health clients since 1999. She retired in 2006 in order to work full time on her art.
